Christopher Bristow’s Biography
Christopher Lamont Bristow is native of Darlington, South Carolina and graduate of Norfolk State
University. He served 20 years in the United States Navy where he served aboard five naval
vessels USS Merrill (DD 976), USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), USS Gettysburg (CG64), USS Ruben James (FFG 57)
and, USS Jack Williams (FFG 34); one assault craft LCU 1644; three shore commands at the Naval Air Station Memphis, TN in the Safety Department as a safety inspector, Transit Personal Unit Norfolk VA as the Administrations Separation Department Leading Petty, and Yokosuka, Japan Naval Base as a harbor
control dispatcher. Christopher was awarded one Combat Action Ribbon, six Navy Marian Corp
Achievement Medals and various other campaign medals. After retiring for the navy he relocated to
Charlotte, NC where he took a position at the Department of Homeland Security Immigration Customs and Enforcement as an Enforcement and Removal Assistant.
Currently, Christopher is a jail interviewer for the NC Courts located in the Charlotte Public Defenders Office. He is also a fatefully and very active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Both in the apex of his career and in his day to life, he gets his energy from spends countless hours helping children all over the world and mentoring young Sailors. Christopher continues to give back to today’s youth in partnership with his passionate wife, Arethea as owners/operators of Mathnasium of North Charlotte, a math only learning center.
